Welcome to OnCall Nursing Services
The idea for OnCall Nursing Services, a travel agency in British Columbia, originated from my desire to merge my passion for healthcare with my love for travel. Recognizing the growing need for accessible and flexible nursing solutions, I envisioned a service that would not only connect healthcare professionals with opportunities across diverse locations but also enhance the travel experience for both professional healthcare professionals and patients. Through extensive research and engagement with the community, I identified a gap in the market for a travel agency specifically tailored to the unique needs of nurses, thereby laying the foundation for OnCall Nursing Services. Our goal is to provide seamless travel arrangements while ensuring a supportive environment for healthcare providers to thrive wherever their journeys may lead.
With 18 years of experience in the nursing profession, I have dedicated my career to providing exceptional care in a variety of settings. From 2007 to 2022, I have worked in hospitals and long-term care facilities, honing my skills and expertise in diverse clinical environments. For the past two years, I have embraced the role of a travel nurse, working in various hospitals and long-term care facilities across beautiful British Columbia.
In addition to my clinical roles, I was a part of the leadership team as a Clinical Nurse Educator in both long-term care and acute care within the Fraser Valley region for three years. This experience allowed me to mentor and guide nursing staff, further enhancing the quality of care provided to residents and patients alike.
Before becoming a travel nurse, I also worked as an educator for BSN programs at the University of British Columbia and BCIT, where I imparted my knowledge and passion for nursing to the next generation of healthcare professionals. Additionally, I had the privilege of teaching the practical nursing program at Vancouver Career College for over a decade, shaping the skills and competencies of aspiring nurses.
In addition to my clinical work, I opened OnCall Nursing Services, an agency that provides skilled nurses to long-term care facilities throughout BC. I take immense pride in matching qualified nurses with facilities in need, ensuring that residents receive the best possible support and care. Our agency is always on the lookout for dedicated nurses to join our team, as we believe in fostering a collaborative environment where every team member contributes to high-quality care and support for residents.
